ROD and The End of YOG! (Sunday, August 29, 2010 / 7:41 AM)

I was supposed to finish this post by last Saturday but I was too lazy and busy to do so. Let's stop all those crap and start immediately!

Last Monday, I had to go for Higher Malay, for the last

time that term. YAY! Actually, I was supposed to go on Wednesday too but I have to stay back with Rasinah, Li Tong, Syafiqah and Deborah to re-edit the script that Mdm Chua claimed that it was 'unacceptable'.

Zainab and Mdm Chua weren't here for two days and three days respectively. Since Rasinah wanted to take some pictures with her new crush, Jeffrey Lightfoot (I am seriously sick of her gusing about him everyday! LMAO!) at Lavender MRT Station, I followed her immediately while Aqilah went off to Temasek Secondary first.

I helped Rasinah take several pictures of her, Merly and 'Jeffrey'. Then I chanced upon this sailor dude who is also on one of the go World (Visa credit card advertisement for the YOG) advertisement. I did not look at him closely all the times when I see this advertisement but as I scruntinised that day, I realised he is kinda hot. AHHH! I am having crushaholic! I keep changing crush like almost every month! Like what Kylie had said of me. I am unloyal. OMG. First it was Logan Lerman which lasted at least for eight months. Then, Steve Appleton for one month and now Darren Choy, the Team Singapore sailor athlete and recently, Boo Boo Stewart too!

My class, Faith 2-2, and Faith 1-4 were the only class that had this special opportunity to see these Ukrainian YOG athletes. They were here in our school for the MOE exchange programme for the Youth Olympic Games. I dare say, the guys looked hot! They have dazzling blue eyes that made me envious! Seriously, I love guys with blue eyes... I think I wanna have blue contact lenses when I grow up. Anyways, they came and watched the performances put up by the aesthetic CCAs of our school: Choir and Chinese Dance. The primary school kids also came to perform an aerobatic dance. As I was saying, the guys look hot but they could not speak English. Well, they speak Ukrainian but still... Not English. Therefore, they are so not my type of guy. The athletes' guide told us on behalf of the athletes that they felt welcomed in Singapore and find that Singapore is good, clean and cool. Two other guys came out to talk about themselves regarding Singapore and the YOG while the guide translated. Lastly, Ms Ho, our principal, received some gifts (Ukraine team athlete mascot plush toys, Ukrainian flag, Ukrainian Olympics Flag) from the guide as a token of friendship between Ukraine and Singapore.

Regarding the script, we did not change at all although we were asked to. In the end, I called Mdm Chua (since she was sick and on medical certificate) to tell her that our group will not change the script although it is 'unacceptable' but it turns out that the Sec Threes' script is also the same as ours. Therefore, we were encouraged to change the script to have a sense of uniqueness in our skit. However, we still wanted the previous script because it is funny.

Rasinah and I went to Lavender MRT Station for the last time that week just to take the last few pictures with our crushes before the posters will be taken down as that week was the end of YOG! Ain't that fast and sad? Rasinah and I have been buying newspapers for the past few weeks just because of our crushes! LOL! We wanted to see and know about the latest news on them in the YOG! I got to suggest on how Rasinah should take a nice shot with Jeffrey along with Lyo and Merly. It was a great experience for me in photography.

I was supposed to go for piano lesson on Thursday but ended up I was asked to stay back for Literature during self-study period. It turned out that our class used that period to celebrate Ms Han's leave from Geylang Methodist in the end as she wants to continue on her studies to become an Art Teacher. We played several games and it was an emotional time for Ms Han as she cried shed tears during the process.

After that, I went to iluma with Rasinah to buy her cellphone earpieces before going for my Maths tuition.

Friday was a total destruction. Like seriously. Rasinah and I had a fight again, and this could be described as the worst of this year, so far. I hope we won't have any fights like this anymore, or not a single fight even. I remembered that I was still OK with her in the morning but it started only after school when the whole cast has to rehearse full-round before the rehearsal for Yan Ting to see through our skit later in the afternoon.

Rasinah and Zainab love Jeffrey and Daniel Lightfoot respectively. They were practically gushing about them during that period. I did not mind for the first few minutes as I have to settle my own stuff too like arranging the seating arrangements and discussing the stage direction with Li Tong. When it was the time to rehearse, I asked everyone to stop what they are doing and get serious in their work. Of course, Rasinah and Zainab were still babbling on about their crushes.

I told them again that it was time to stop and start rehearsing. Zainab was aware of this and came to join us but Rasinah was still looking at Jeffrey's pictures in her cellphone. That really was the final blow for me. Mr Lim, our Maths teacher, was still there and guess what? He thought that the both of us screaming were part of the skit! ROFL! Yeap. We screamed at each other, we spat and cursed and hurled vulgarities. I was too frustrated because we have not rehearsed as a whole cast once after the script was edited. After scolding her, Rasinah became irritated and stubborn. She did not want to join in the parts when she was supposed to come in and say her lines loudly as she claimed that she felt sick and tired.

I knew I had enough of her. So, I screamed again and things turned out worst. We did not talk altogether except more shouting along the staircase as we went down the stairs after rehearsal. Joreen was with the two of us and she tried to stop us from more scolding. The worst part was after shouting along the corridor and telling me to shut up, Rasinah suddenly asked me to forgive her. Walao. She let me go through all the anger and suddenly ask me for forgiveness all of a sudden?

I went down to the canteen toilet only to discover her tagging along with us then I don't know why but I started crying. I ran away from them and I dare say. It was like two cats chasing after a mouse. Rasinah and Joreen kept calling after my back but I still kept walking. Trying to lose them. I finally found a good hiding-spot to hide and it was the toilet at the third level. I hid in the cubicle for a few minutes, constantly receiving SMSes and calls from Joreen. I did not care. I played games in the toilet cubicle and waited till Higher Chinese lesson is over.

I heard someone slamming the toilet door after twenty minutes I stayed in the cubicle. I thought that it must have been one of the Higher Chinese students. Therefore, I continued on with my games not until I heard the slamming of door right beside my cubicle which made the situation eerie. I heard some noises and practically tried to stay calm. The next minute I knew, I was staring at Rasinah's fingers on the edge of the toilet door! They were so scary as I did not expect Rasinah to find me there! I saw her face but instead of excitement, it was fear.

I ran out of the toilet cubicle and found myself laughing once Rasinah came out from the cubicle herself. It was so funny, epic and unexpected. We managed to calm down and we were friends again. We hugged each other to forget the bad memories.

Rasinah called the rest of the cast that she has found me and we met up with each other and rehearsed diligently again before going to the Multi-Purpose Room for rehearsal again. The Drama members had their Teachers' Day rehearsal first before ours. I do pity Li Tong as she has to fall down several times due to her 'students' mischief'.

Right after the rehearsal, I went home straightaway to prepare for the ROD. I was supposed to meet up with Joreen at the MRT Station but she ended up taking a taxi as she was late, I followed Deborah to school instead.

All the Student Councilors and teachers ate dinner at the Quadrangle before going up for the performances and speeches by our seniors. It was extremely hilarious especially Ranjit being the emcee and some other people's sense of humour during the performances. Nonetheless, it was very emotional and moving during some speeches especially Jeremy's, our Head of the Student Body, speech. He cried like so many times till the speech was delayed. I bet it was a touching occasion for him. I went back home taking MRT with Jessalyn. I truly enjoyed myself during ROD!

I got back all the results last week. I failed in my English, yea. I know. Big surprise 'cause I never fail in my English paper before. Should I emphasise NEVER? A lot of the unexpected ones failed too. Mine is the worst, as in. I only need 1/2 mark to pass! To get 15/30 but what did I get? 14.5/30! ARGGGHHHHH! I scored 61% for my Science, B4, slight improvement. I failed in my Higher Malay Paper 2 but passed in my Paper 1 but after summing up. I passed! Yahoo! But I still have to do loads of Higher Malay revision especially on my Cloze Passage, Peribahasa and Imbuhan! I scored 22/30, 73.5%, A2, for my Literature. I was shocked to see my History result as it was a great deprovement! THE SCRE IS SUPER LOW TO ME AS ALL THE WHILE I HAVE BEEN SCORING 80% AND ABOVE! Like seriously... I only scored 20/30 this term, it is only 66%! A B3! Sad thing... That's all the scores for this term. My conclusion? Study more till I am sick. Like the usual when I was in P6. I worked so hard for the prelims and the exams till I got sick. Fortunately, the hard work was paid off. I guess due to my total laziness in my secondary school life, my grades are more shocking and badly done.

I hope I can score the best of my abilities in my End of Year exams and finish blogging before I go back to Penang on Tuesday for the holidays. I have to stop procastinating and start on my revision!

P.S. I MISS YOG AND DARREN CHOY! I WANT ALL THE YOG AND OLYMPIC GAMES TO HAPPEN HERE IN SINGAPORE AS THERE WILL BE MORE HOT GUYS TO LOOK OUT FOR. TEHEE... YOG ROCKS!
