COMMON TESTS ARE OVER. Now, Let's Bring on the EOY Exams! :/ (Saturday, August 14, 2010 / 11:42 PM)

The whole week after the five-days National Day break, we had our tests for the full stretch till Friday. And guess what? It all involves on memorising work: Science (Wednesday, 11 August), History (Thursday, 12 August) and Literature (Friday, 13 August).
Mr. Quek, our History and Art teacher, clearly told us that all the chapters from chapter 1 to 8 will be tested in the test but guess what? Only two topics out of the eight are tested. I was like, "WHAT THE HECK? THIS IS SO UNFAIR! I WASTED SO MUCH TIME ON EIGHT CHAPTERS FOR NOTHING!" OK, looking on the bright side (according to my Mom), I don't have to have difficulties memorising all of these for the End-Of-Year Exams which will start very soon after our one week September holidays! I am so not looking forward to that.
I find the Science paper hard, especially the Graph question. I think I cannot take Pure Sciences anymore. I now need to strive to get in the Humanities stream next year. The History and Literature papers are do-able. For the first time, I managed to finish my History and Literature papers on time!
We got back our Maths Common Test paper on Thursday. I managed to get 33.5/50=68%, B3. Walaoeh. I could have gotten an A1! Just because of all my freaking careless mistakes, it pulls my overall score down! Why am I born to be so damn careless? Even Mdm Yo, my Maths tuition teacher said that to me.
We had to sketch a portrait of our Art partners so I sketched Esther and Li Tong who does not appear alike in my A4 paper. OOpps. My bad. Li Tong was annoyed of course because she sketched me that looks like the real me while I sketched her as a total different person.
Then, there was an unexpected 'Set Language and Notations' quiz on Friday. I forgotten most of the formula but I fortunately managed to pass with a 7/10. I was just damn fortunate that day.
Since this week has only three days of school, I have nothing much to gossip about. Or maybe only about Friday when I went to the Geylang East Library with Rasinah. Had a good time spending friendship time together. The three of us, Rasinah, Li Tong and I, mostly studied for the tests but we found time to relax by chatting animatedly about our some issues (the three of us only know) among ourselves.
I will be having Student Councilor Recess Duty on Mondays. Oh man. This is so troublesome. I cannot get to spend time with Rasinah and Li Tong that much anymore. So sad...
I guess the results for all the tests will be out by next week or the following week latest. I don't look forward to receiving my English and Science results! My tests are not totally over for me yet. I still have two Higher Malay papers next week: Paper 1 (Monday, 17 August) and Paper 2 (Wednesday, 19 August). I am so scared that I won't do well for Higher Malay. If I don't, I will get scolding again! But why can't my Mom understand that Higher Malay here is much more difficult here than in Malaysia? I ain't kidding. We learn 'Peribahasa' here and have to memorise the words by heart while Malaysia gives you the answers to choose the correct one (you don't have to pain-stakingly memorise the words one-by-one). Everything in Malaysia is 'spoon-fed'. I know this is bad but this is so UNFAIR. Nonetheless, I am aware that Singapore's education is good for me. Hence, I will cherish it with all my heart. Strive to do well and never give up.
