My Drama Club friends and I still had to go back to school on the 1st and 2nd of June during the holidays for Drama sessions. I think this is a very good opportunity for us to bond with our juniors, Sec Ones, and also a time that we can waste on our month-long holiday! We still had to attend the last session on the 21st of June. I heard that we will be having a farewell party for the seniors! WOW! No wonder the session is like seven hours long? From 9a.m. to 4p.m.
My besties: Joreen, Kathy, Kylie and Li Tong, and I were mostly stuck with each other. Acting in the same play, playing the instructed games together and even going for brunch and to the MRT together! We were inseparable! OK, most of the time but yesterday was not the case. We were separated but some of us were still in the same group.
Yan Ting, our Drama leader, did a great job. The seniors and juniors too! Haha! I LOVE DRAMA! It's totally awesome and IT ROCKS!
Though we had some incidents like today's game of Crocodile & Egg Hunters, the game is about the crocodiles guarding their eggs (which were our shoes! LOL! There will be a mother crocodile that can snatch back one egg at a time from the egg-hunters on every visit. The main aim is to avoid the touch of a crocodile or else you will be dead and you won't be able to send the egg back to home base.) (which turned into chaos as there was one part of the Wesley Hall that had a crack as some people threw shoes that had such a great impact. Some 'egg-hunters' only cared about winning, constantly not caring on the safety of others, who were unaware of flying shoes, which injured themselves.)
>The rest of the games like Vampire (something like tag but this time, when a vampire touches you, you will immediately become a vampire too), Space Jump (two people will start of with a random scene, once the leader says FREEZE, they will freeze and other people will join them with another different scene altogether), Telephone Breaker (passing of messages from the first person to the last), Twist of a Fairytale (change the common fairytale into something unique and different), Village Slut (I know. A horny name and really funny. There are two circles: inner and outer. The inner circles are the husbands while the outer circles are the wives. In the middle of the circle, there will be a slut that will randomly wink at any of the husband. The wives will need to tap on their husbands before they could run off to 'find' the slut. If they did not manage to tap on time, the wife will be the next whore/slut. HAHAHA! Fortunately, I am loyal to my wife, 'Deborah'. I almost ran off but Deborah's hand was real quick!), Topic Play (We will be given a topic and we had to act without talking but ONLY ACTIONS), Scene Play (we will be given a scene and we had to act in front of the audience to convince them that this is the certain venue or whatsoever without using any props nor speech.) and so many more that I have forgotten!
There were BOOMZTASTIC and useful for our Drama skills. These games taught us to remain silent, teamwork, creativity and motor skills.
I have really enjoyed myself and I guess everyone in Drama had too!
Can't wait till the next session!
P.S. Deborah, Esther, Jeremy, Li Tong, Rasinah, Rui Lin, Sirih, Ting Ting, Zainab and I will be the youngest participants taking part in the NYEC challenge/race, this is for the Enviro-Champs activity in our school but this competition is competing with all the secondary school students in Singapore, this coming Saturday! OMG! I hope that we can do well and prove to the elder ones that we are much better than them although we may be younger. Wish us luck and best wishes. Please support GMSS! GeMS, WE CAN DO IT! <3
