GMSP and GMSS have organised a Thanksgiving Celebration as a remembrance of 85 years of God's help in helping our school to flourish. Amen... We had a Sports & Games Carnival and a night Service to praise the Lord. It is kinda fun but I sucked at almost everything. Seriously... Except for a game that the Primary School kids created. It is the shooting cans game. In order to win, you need to shoot as many cans into a box as possible. But, but... Each can has different scorings. The more, the better. (Like obviously...) Don't say this is easy. It is kinda tricky because you need to have the technique. You can't hit too hard or else the cans will fall out of the box and it will not be considered. You can't hit too lightly too. So, I watched my aiming and just hit! Most of the time I scored 8 and the highest I scored 13. Lowest? 4! But we can't get stamps unless we score 8 and above! The stamps are for collecting gifts. The gifts are lame. Wouldn't wanna disgrace my school so I won't say anymore...
After some more other games, at about 1.55p.m., me, Li Tong, Rui Lin and Deborah went to change before we 'chiong' or rushed out of GMSS to the MRT station to go to Orchard and shop! (LOL as if we were doing something wrong or a crime. But we didn't because we can leave school anytime as long as we go back to school by 5.30p.m.)
While waiting for Deborah's father (Because she never take her set of clothings to change. Like duh... How can you go to a posh area in your school uniform? So her father brought her a jacket...), me and Li tong shared a bottle of soya milk shake as we were very, very thirsty. SLURP! After that, we started our 'tour'! We took the MRT. We chatted and talked crap. Yea, I am not joking. Nonetheless, we had a fun time.
We went to shop at Ion first. That's where I bought myself a pair of new glasses at Uni Qluo. It is a Japanese clothing store. My glasses are brown in colour. ROFL! Then, we continued on at Takashimaya. Ate at Mcdonald's. Went shopping for books at Kinokuniya. Window-shopping... Went back to Ion to change to our school uniform before heading back school.
Before that, we went to buy ourselves Soya Milk Ice-cream except Li Tong. She bought herself a cup of soya milk drink. She says that she doesn't eat ice-cream. She is totally weird! I love MR BEAN's ice-cream!!! It rocks!!!
Then, we went for the night service. There were mostly a lot of singing and some dancing. There was one part where some representatives run with the Olympic torch to celebrate YOG and like duh. Our thanksgiving... After running, they set up a bonfire and lighted up six more small torches. The speech was very boring and it lasts for at least half an hour... But we had a joyous time.
I feel this is an enjoyable occasion and I hope there will be more of this in the future. Praise the Lord for everything! For good weather and good school! Yeah! Yipee do!
