National Day Celebration-2009 (Friday, August 7, 2009 / 12:57 PM)

As I said before, today is my school's National Day celebration and we can wear either red or white! And I wore RED! My favourite colour!

Today was a blast! It was awesome! Though I was quite disappointed with some particular major things... First, we were asked to stay in the Quadrangle for like an hour under the hot sun because this was the time when we see the formation of different uniform groups such as NPCC, Boys' & Girls' Brigade and Girl Guides. It was quite confusing as the 'captain' was like shouting Malay words and these words were like a mixture of Arab and Malay? Yea... Sort of... There was our school band that played a fanfare. It was so loud and the beat was alike to the beat of my heart. Then, it was finally time to go to the hall for continuation of the program.

Point number one that I am disappointed with: Most of my friends are not happy in celebrating National Day. They think it is a waste of time.
Point number two: They do not take the national anthem and pledge seriously.

OK, let's continue... We did mostly singing the Singapore songs and answering quizzes. It was fun and there was this band that played their music instruments with the music that was played. It was cool and I hope that I can a build a band of my own!

Point number three: We, Sec ones, were so emo. that we didn't even say a single thing when we were asked to answer the quiz.
Point number four: I know it may sound lame to you but we should join in the National Day spirit! We should sing the songs together and just celebrate! Unfortunately... No one did that and I so wanted to do it but people will laugh at me. I think it would be an enjoyable day if we are happier and more joyous.
Point number five: The MCs were quite boring and lame as there was one part of the quiz where they ask us a question and identify the incorrect answer. But in actual fact there was no incorrect answer but everyone doesn't know that. So, they stood up and answered all the different options only to find out that all were correct and it was only a prank. Lame and looser!

Overall, I was content as at the end of this program, we were given this year's NDP backpack and my class got lime green! Another of my favourite colour! Oh yesh! Love it! It looks like Crumpler.

That's all for today readers. Just wanna wish all of you a happy, fantastic and enjoyable Singapore National Day!

P.S. Remember... Respect your own country! (Hehe.. Except one option for me: I hate my country and will not ever respect it! But, but, but... Wait, I haven't finish... I will always respect Singapore although it is my second home...) Satisfied? I hope so...
