Graduation Day and It is the WORST day EVER!!! (Wednesday, November 19, 2008 / 5:05 PM)
Graduation Day is always a time to remember forever of all those memories that you have together with your best friends, classmates, schoolmates and perhaps... Teachers too... I am now in Singapore... Curling up in my sofa... Thinking that I should have celebrated Graduation Day with all of my loyal friends and ever-loving teachers. Why am I saying this?? Is it because I deserved it?? No, actually, it isn't truly the right way...It all started after the Singapore government exam, PSLE. Since it was the last year for us to be in primary school, we(Primary 6 students), should have our freedom to celebrate six years of bitter sweet memories together. One of my best friend named, Wynne, decided to put up a dance in the Graduation Day programme. She invited me and a few other friends, Aliyah,Rachel Lee and Jaeni, to join her. You could see that our faces were full of anticipation... and most of all... seriousness in order to win a part during the audition. At first, my friends and I practised and practised oftenly... Like the evil stepmother and stepsisters from the Cinderella story, another group of girls were standing nearby... Watching with full of hatred at our diligence and great motivation in our dance. Like all evil villains do, they(actually there are five of them in a group but only three of them are wicked), they did a very unbelievable act. I can actually refer them as the 'modern villains'. Before the audition for the Graduation Day Programme, one of our teachers told all of my schoolmates that the minimum timing for each performance of each class should only last for five minutes. She asked them whether how long will their performance last. Low and behold!Instead of saying 2 1/2 minutes, they said five minutes! This in turn resulted us in not having the chance to perform... It was a sad day indeed for us especially me... I am quite sentimental... Summoning up my courage, I decided to leave Singapore and moved on to have my vacation in Bangkok, earlier than I expected, leaving all my best friends, classmates, schoolmates and teachers behind. Although you may think that I should feel happier there but unfortunately, I did not. I pretended to have fun shopping with my parents and relaxing in the pool. To no avail, I kept regretting of not celebrating Graduation Day with my closest friends. Now, I truly miss my friends and teachers very much. So, readers, please do consider this. Do not ever let your enemy pull you down like a Madras Crab forever pulling you down and not allowing you to be free. Always be yourself and do not let peer pressure get under your way!
